Meet the Giuntabell Team

  • Nunzio Giunta is the Managing Partner and founder of Giuntabell and the driving force behind the expert care and CFO expertise it delivers. Passionate about enhancing the financial performance of charities and the non-profit sector, Nunzio cares for, protects and understands your organisation. As a CPA qualified not-for-profit expert, Nunzio strongly believes that charities and not-for-profits that do good should be successful and he works to help your organisation succeed. His areas of speciality include financial reporting, systems implementation, revenue recognition, charity compliance, risk management, budgeting and forecasting.

    Nunzio is Chair of the CPA Queensland Not-for-Profit Committee, a member of the Australian Tax Office’s Not-for-Profit Stewardship Group, and on the Australian Accounting Standards Board Not-for-Profit Advisory Panel. In 2020 he won a Sage Finance Futurist award – one of ten finance leaders from a variety of sectors and backgrounds chosen from Australia, the UK, US, Canada and France, recognised for driving innovation and showing leadership across businesses of all sizes. Nunzio also won the Not-for-profit Accountant of the Year at the Accountants Daily Australian Accounting Awards 2021.

  • Self-motivated and passionate about the work she delivers, Operations Manager at Giuntabell, Lara Bell brings more than 25 years industry expertise to the company. As the Operations Manager, Lara works on project management of special projects as well as high-level strategic planning and operations.

    Lara assists in providing expert advice and superior value to all clients, delivering the expertise you need to do more, with less. Lara understands the charity and not-for-profit sectors and knows how to find operational efficiencies and improve financial systems and performance. When Lara isn’t in the office, she loves to volunteer at her children’s schools and be involved in local community projects.

  • With more than 30 years in the industry, Malcolm prides himself on driving client’s success in order to deliver change. Malcolm believes in building genuine client relationships, listening, taking on board feedback and continually improving the service he delivers.

    By understanding your not-for-profit or charity, Malcolm can help to build your internal financial capabilities and improve risk management, thus helping you to make the best decisions. Always acting with integrity, valuing people and relationships, Malcolm will help his clients in celebrating their successes and embracing their challenges. Aside from his love of work, Malcolm enjoys spending time with his family and travelling.

  • With experience in both finance and systems, Chris is passionate about both numbers and technology.

    Having previously worked with developers, accountants, and sales consultants he is able to communicate ideas and information in a simple manner, understanding that different people have varying ways to digest knowledge.

    He is tasked with providing technical support and assisting the Systems Implementation team with system migrations.

    In his spare time, he enjoys gym and basketball to offset the eating and drinking he does with family and friends.

  • With over 25 years’ experience in accounting, IT and systems implementation, Andrew Paton is an ambitious and driven systems accountant. Andrew is a Certified Sage Intacct Implementation Specialist and heads up the team of System Accountants and his key role and responsibility at Giuntabell include implementing Sage Intacct, and enhancing financial systems. Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, Andrew drives continuous improvement in financial and system processes and builds and maintains excellent working relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Passionate about making a positive impact in the not-for-profit sector, Carlie Clark brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her role as Marketing Manager at Giuntabell.

    Carlie is committed to leveraging her skills and expertise to have a meaningful impact on the not-for-profit sector. With a keen eye for detail and a creative flair, Carlie is dedicated to crafting compelling digital marketing strategies that resonate with Giuntabell's audience. Her expertise lies in leveraging various digital platforms to elevate the brand's presence and reach new heights of success.

    In her role, Carlie thrives on the challenge of identifying new opportunities and suggesting innovative initiatives to propel the brand forward. Whether it's through engaging social media campaigns, captivating visual content, or strategic email marketing, she is passionate about driving results and achieving organisational goals.

    Outside of her professional endeavours, Carlie likes to spend time on the beach with her family with a cocktail in hand.

  • Passionate about enhancing the financial performance of charities and the not-for-profit sector, Narelle is a highly experienced administrator and executive assistant in the finance industry.

    Professional and friendly in her approach to work, Narelle’s key duties at Giuntabell are to support Nunzio and to ensure that customer projects are delivered on time. She provides support to the Giuntabell team while co-ordinating administration tasks for clients. Narelle ensures the day-to-day operations at Giuntabell run smoothly so that customers’ organisational financial goals are achieved. Narelle’s passions outside of work are photography and travel.

  • Claire has extensive experience leading corporate services teams in a variety of health, government and not-for-profit organisations. She enjoys working collaboratively to enable organisations to improve outcomes for our community.

    Claire has delivered on a broad range of engagements including organisational redesign, capability uplift, new organisational and system implementations. She values the stakeholder confidence that comes with having embedded strong policy, governance and risk frameworks, supported by robust financial compliance foundations and an active performance culture.

    Claire also enjoys live music, renovating her house, beach trips and hanging out with her dog Poi.

  • Joshua is a fully qualified CPA as of July 2019 and has over 10 years of experience in accounting handling bookkeeping, tax accounting and financial statement preparation.

    Joshua has strong organisational skills, excels in detailed work, and is a great asset to the Giuntabell team. With personal values of honesty, clarity and integrity, Joshua is keen to assist with outsourced accounting for your not-for-profit or charity. Outside of work, Joshua’s hobbies include reading, video games, and exercising.

  • Melissa is a Fellow Chartered Accountant with over 22 years’ of experience in a wide range of industries and sectors. Melissa has worked with clients ranging from large global corporate companies to small charities operating in New Zealand or Australia.

    Melissa is a practical problem solver who likes to work with her clients to help find better and more efficient outcomes for all stakeholders.

    Melissa is an intuitive, inclusive and motivated leader and is passionate about helping others thrive and embrace growth.

    Having recently moved to Brisbane from New Zealand, outside of work Melissa is busy exploring her new city.

  • An experienced numbers and technology-focused person, Daniel is someone who strives to deliver the best results, quickly and efficiently. As a Systems Accountant and Certified Sage Intacct Implementation Specialist, he believes that if you train the user, you empower the user, and consequently the more confident they will become. He encourages clients to get the most out of their software by working with them and by providing business-building solutions through automation and enhanced reporting. When not online, you can find him bringing his Lego creations to life.

  • Izabela has 14 years of experience working in Finance in Australia. She understands the not-for-profit industry well having spent the last 10 years working as a Finance Officer and Finance Business Partner.

    Izabela is passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience and believes in building good relationships with clients that lead to positive outcomes. She enjoys resolving problems and ensuring that the result is satisfactory for clients.

    Outside of work, Izabela enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as bike riding and travelling.

  • With more than 10 years of accounting and financial management experience in the education sector, Leon is passionate about numbers and continual learning to improve the service he delivers.

    As a Certified Sage Intacct Implementation Specialist and a member of the implementation team, Leon is responsible for new system builds and technical support for Sage Intacct financial software. Leon additionally provides systems support to the accounting team to enable accurate and timely monthly reporting for their clients.

    Leon is a provisional member of CA Australia & New Zealand and is currently completing his mentorship to become a full member. After working in South Africa for the past 10 years, he has relocated back to Australia. He enjoys exercising and reading in his spare time.

  • Sara is a qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in both public practice and the private sector. Sara’s strengths come from her commercial background and focus on the profitability and sustainability of the client’s business.

    Sara is motivated by client success. She enjoys working closely with her clients to help them better understand their numbers and ultimately deliver on their goals and do good in the community.

    Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her family, running around Brisbane and camping.

  • Janna Hakimova is a highly experienced Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of expertise in the Not-for-Profit sector, both in Australia and internationally. She has a strong track record in managing all aspects of the finance function, including the entire financial and accounting cycle, financial data analysis, annual budgeting and forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, grant management, and comprehensive financial reporting that adheres to established standards.

    Janna’s passion for the Not-for-Profit sector is evident in her commitment to helping organizations achieve their missions. She leverages her analytical and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement, ensuring that her clients can make the greatest possible impact through sound financial management.

    Outside of her professional life, Janna enjoys spending quality time with her family, swimming, and bike riding, embracing an active lifestyle that keeps her energized and balanced.
